‘Zohra Sarwari came to America from Afghanistan at the young age of 6. Zohra has a lot of experience with diversity; having been raised in New York City, then moving to the suburbs of Virginia, finishing high school in California, and currently residing in Indiana.
Both of Zohra’s parents could barely speak English when they arrived to America, and both of them worked in low-paying jobs just to make ends meet. This meant Zohra didn’t have a bright future to look forward to, however, regardless of her circumstances and environment that surrounded her; she strived to make it to the top; no matter what it took! She got married at the age of 19, and then went on to acquire a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Business Administration, and is currently working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Studies. She has been working since the age of 14 years old, and has many experiences in the work force as well.
Zohra has faced many challenges as an orthodox Muslim. Her passion is to educate others about diversity; using humor and a dynamic experience that will leave her audiences transformed from the moment they enter the room! Her speeches motivate dialogue, and tolerance towards people of all races, religions, and backgrounds. Moreover, her speeches are inspirational and motivational regardless of how tough and sensitive the subject matter might be!’
